Edo Raus
Co-founder & Greenhouse Technology Lead, DutchGreenhouses
Edo Raus is a co-founder of DutchGreenhouses and one of the few people in the industry who understands the full greenhouse stack end to end — steel structure and foundations, screening, climate, irrigation, energy, MEP, electricity and cultivation.
He grew up in the Westland among its greenhouses, working in them on weekends and school holidays as a boy. Trained as an electrician, he specialized early in automation and was wiring climate computers before he was twenty, then moved quickly into international greenhouse engineering. After more than twelve years of humanitarian work abroad, he returned to the sector as export manager for large-scale greenhouse projects around the world.
In 2017 he co-founded DutchGreenhouses with his son, Timo. His rare combination of engineering depth and hands-on growing knowledge now anchors the company’s technical work. Edo reviews the technical content published on this site — construction, screening, climate systems, irrigation and lighting — so that every definition and specification reflects sound, current engineering practice.
